2016.3.1.118 Trout prepared for drying. Sharpened willow sticks hold the fish out to dry better
2016.3.1. 3 Ice fishing. Josie Paul was the wife of Antoine Baptiste. She is ice fishing at Beauty Creek with a young boy who might be her grandson Tory Baptiste, and her daughter Eva Baptiste (now Eva Gardner). Tory's mother died, and Josie and Eva raised him. This photo was labeled Alou Baptiste. Alou means grandmother in Dakelh.
2016.3.1.60 Fishing camp at Tsetzi Lake, 1980. Fish is being dried on racks over a smoky fire in front of the canvas tents. The wagon was pulled by a team of horses that have been released to graze. Note the large rubber tires which provide a slightly smother ride over rough terrain. (This has also described as the Squirrel Lake fish camp, at the crossing of the track that would come from Klukus at Kluskus Creek which feeds into the Upper Klukus Lake. )
