Community Is Important

Echen Training Institute was created with the intent to support community, corporate, small business, nonprofit organizations, and the region by “delivering the tools for success”. ETI believes that skilled employees contribute to an organization’s strength, growth, innovation, and longevity. Our partnerships with esteemed governing bodies, training agencies and instructors, combined with our ability to deliver respected and effective education, training and certification provides these tools and contributes to the overall success for individuals, communities, and business.

Overview

Echen Training Institute (ETI) was created to offer a variety of education, training and certification options for Aboriginal communities, corporate, small business, non-profit organizations, and the public sector. The overall goal of the company is to be the “one stop” training resource in the hub of the British Columbia Northern Central Interior. ETI’s solidified relationships with community interest groups, regulating bodies, training providers and instructors combined with the physical location of ETI’s facility makes ETI the preferred option for prospective clients and students as a low-cost training provider with highly qualified instructors and exceptional service.

Mission Statement: “DELIVERING THE TOOLS FOR SUCCESS”

The intent of Echen Training Institute (ETI) is to support Aboriginal communities, non-profit organizations, and the retail sector by “delivering the tools for success”.

ETI believes that:

  • Skilled employees contribute to an organization’s strength, growth, innovation, and longevity
  • The development of many highly educated, trained, and skilled citizens within the region increases the attractiveness of organizations and industry to establish, relocate or expand their business to the locale.
  • Individuals wanting to upskill and/or secure financially sustainable employment opportunities should not be discouraged by limited access, expensive course/program costs or little or no support. Local access to a reputable education and training resource that has solidified partnerships with other effective resources work together to support student success in achieving attainable goals that will build their self-worth and their individual and/or family’s overall financial disposition, health, and wellness.

Our partnerships with esteemed governing bodies, training agencies and instructors, combined with our ability to deliver respected and effective education, training and certification provides these tools and contributes to the overall success for individuals, communities, and business.

Keys to Success

The BC Northern Central Interior is industry driven with regards to forestry and forestry-related manufacturing, mining, health and wellness, agriculture, and tourism. Industry needs local education, training, and certification resources with a focus on workplace health and safety, innovation and skill development and adherence to strict industry rules and regulations. Without this resource, many companies in industry are not able to operate. Without innovative development and upskill training for employees in these sectors, companies are unable to remain cost effective, competitive, or secure long-term sustainability.

Quesnel is a perfect location for ETI as a service hub for communities, companies and individuals seeking education, training, and certification opportunities. It is increasingly difficult to source local resources that have a healthy variety of quality programs and courses offered in a reliable schedule at a reasonable cost. The lack of local resources forces these entities to reach out to facilities out of town or out of province which results in higher costs for individuals and employers.

The Echen Training Institute was created to address these issues, provide quality training and education – while offering these services at competitive pricing.

Established Reputation and Collaboration

Echen Training Institute was founded by Chad Stump, Robert Cosma and Marcus App. Their collective resume reflects a strong ethical belief in supporting the education and development of Aboriginal members and community, support for children and families and direct knowledge of the forestry and logging industry sectors.

  • Their care and concern for Aboriginal, municipal, and local business communities
  • The lack of locally available quality programs and courses to meet community and industry need, demand, and sustainability
  • The increasing costs of education and training services due to the lack of additional local competitive resources

brought the conception of ETI to present actualization and the recruitment of Stephanie Boyko as an employee. The combined assets and experience of these individuals represents a powerful unified voice that understands local and regional community and industry needs. ETI’s goal to secure a competitive edge and market share of respectable program and course deliveries will further solidify Quesnel’s reputation as a preferred location and resource for the provision of quality education, training, and certification.

Products and Services

The individual reputations of the ETI owners, staff and instructors are well established and respected within the local and regional area and their specific fields of expertise instills confidence by many local and regional organizations and employers. Students successfully completing programs and courses through ETI will be the desired prospects for long term engagement and employment within respected organizations.

  • Attractive Pricing and Keeping Training Costs Reasonable: Due to the size and efficiency of ETI staff, we provide programs and courses at a reasonable cost to students, organizations, community, and business entities.
  • Keeping Current: Programs and courses offered at ETI are based on the most current information, practices, and procedures through the utilization of the newest teaching techniques.
  • Flexible operating days and hours: ETI is able to offer programs and courses on weekends and off hours.
  • Face-to-Face Classroom Learning: The majority of ETI’s programs and courses are delivered in a face-to-face classroom format that includes “hands on” learning and required demonstrated practical skills assessment grading. This classroom environment also provides students feel a sense of additional support as there is opportunity to easily approach instructors for additional information or clarification when questions arise.
  • We Can Bring the Classroom to You: Along with the ability to deliver quality programs and courses to students at our facility, we can provide community, companies, and out-of-town clients with the option of having ETI bring “the classroom” to their location. The option of “offsite” deliveries is a convenient, comfortable, cost effective and viable alternative for some communities, employers, and clients.
  • Cultural Identity: Owned by Aboriginal members, there is knowledge and a strong direct voice identifying the educational and training needs of Aboriginal communities and its members. The classroom environment will respectfully honor and invite knowledge sharing and guidance from Elders and related support systems for learning, understanding, and applying traditional and ceremonial practices for many Aboriginal communities’ deliveries of programs and courses.
  • Bringing Education, Training and Workshops to Quesnel, B.C. There are many programs, courses and workshops that are locally unavailable to our residents and employers and if available can only be accessed by virtual or distant learning. Our established networks and connections with these education providers and governing agencies will provide ETI the opportunity to bring these education and training resources to Quesnel. Supporting local and regional organizations and employers by providing direct access to vital information, education and training for their members and employees eliminates additional costs to send attendees out of town and avoids some of the pitfalls of virtual learning.
  • Retail Sales: ETI recognizes the frustration organizations and companies face when sourcing suppliers and vendors for industry related supplies and materials (i.e.: first aid supplies, PPE, etc.) which usually results in contacting multiple suppliers to replenish these supplies. To support the purchasing process and offer convenience, ETI offers a “one stop” retail shopping experience with an inventory of industry related materials and quality products that we utilize in our courses.
